Who works on the transcripts?
Mostly Deb, but other contributors are also working on it. Each file credits whoever worked on the transcripts. It’s a labor of love!
How does it work?
There are different types of transcripts for each game: main missions, squadmate conversations, loyalty missions, etc.
The idea is to provide for a transcript all the dialogue options (including unique dialogues) and the different outcomes.
Are they all finished?
Some are, others aren’t. They can miss specific dialogue lines. They might have all Paragon and Renegade dialogue options for the trilogy, mais not neutral. Same for Andromeda with different dialogue options. The philosophy is that it’s better to put something out there and complete it than never publishing it because it misses some dialogue otions.
Why are transcripts formatted like that?
Because the transcripts include all the dialogue options and choices, there was a need to format it to provide all options while making it readable and clear.
Why are they on Google Docs?
To make it easier to update them as we go, to share them, etc. And you can download them as pdfs if you want 🙂
I sent a request to get access. Why aren’t you giving it to me?
I’m not giving access to anyone to update the file.
Are you transcribing for a specific gender and type of character?
No. For the trilogy, both options are in one transcript. The transcript will just indicate when there are gender specific dialogues (ex: Harkin with female Shepard). So if you see “He/She” that’s why.Â
For MEA, it’s the same with Sarah/Scott and brother/sister in the transcripts. The issue is adding step by step all the options and keeping it coherent all along.Â
